TERMS & CONDITIONS

for all our courses

Month-by-month payment plan

  • Fees + VAT are collected monthly by direct debit

  • While fees are paid monthly, enrollment in classes is ongoing until we receive notification of your intention to finish.

  • We require one month’s written notice of your intention to finish on a course. Please email us at hackneyfinearts@gmail.com for adult's classes or hackneyyoungarts@gmail.com for kids and teens classes.

  • Payment is taken on the 1st of the month  or 15th for concessions so please let us know immediately if you plan to finish at the end of the month. Latest notice date is on the 15th to quit the following month.

  • Late cancellations result in a loss of income for our business and our dedicated teaching team.

  • Any unpaid fees will be invoiced.

  • Please be mindful we are a small business and give sufficient notice so your spot in the class can be filled by someone on our waiting list.

  • Note: monthly charges vary according to how many teaching weeks are in the month. Refer to our term dates/ public holidays for dates.

  • You will not be charged for classes during studio closures.

  •  Please note that you will be charged if you miss a class, regardless of motive and notice being given. This is to ensure teaching wages and rent to the farm can still be paid.

  •   All enrolled adult students must sign up to our calendar and ensure to add in absences to keep the system going for those who need to make up classes.

Our term time classes are in line with Hackney's Learning Trust term dates.

For Saturdays and Sundays classes, the last class of each term or before a school holiday will be the Saturday or Sunday of the last week, regardless which date of the week the term ends.

Holiday classes terms & conditions:

  • Tickets are non - transferable.

  • Cancellations and refunds only allowed one week prior to booking.

  • The classes currently on offer might be unsuitable for some children regardless of their ability and needs due to their technical nature. We do not deliver art classes based on creative play.

Final note from our founder:

Our art school exists to teach students the technical skills I wished I had learned during my education. It's a passion project for me and my team, dedicated to fine art education. I'm proud that we maintain a high percentage of students on concessionary rates. We offer free adult courses for local disadvantaged and retired Hackney residents. Additionally, we provide an annual bursary, covering a year of tuition for a hardworking student whose family can't afford our fees.

We take pride in creating an inclusive, diverse, safe, and friendly environment for all our students. We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, discrimination, harassment, and aggression, leading to expulsion. Our organization is committed to being anti-racist.
